Hectare construction is a company that acts as a contractor in large-scale residential and commercial construction projects.
Our team consists of highly skilled individuals who are driven by the desire to excel and employ innovative techniques.
We are currently seeking a motivated individual with a strong team spirit to fill the position of Construction Superintendent.
Main responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth progress of the construction site
- Plan, organize, direct, and control construction work
- Manage all activities related to the execution of construction work
- Assist the project manager in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling site mobilization (implementation)
- Resolve issues to increase productivity and product quality
- Ensure the implementation of construction projects in collaboration with professionals, subcontractors, and site personnel
- Plan, organize, and lead meetings with professionals and subcontractors
- Actively participate in site meetings and visits with professionals and subcontractors
- Inform the project manager of the performance of teams and subcontractors
- Work closely with the project manager and the occupational health and safety (OHS/SST) representative
- Interpret plans and specifications correctly and ensure compliance with the schedule and budget
- Follow up with subcontractors on deficiency lists and outstanding work issued by professionals
- Coordinate the workers under their responsibility
- Assist the project manager in planning the workforce, materials, and construction equipment for contract work and supervise them
- Keep a copy of all site documents in good condition and make them available to the client and authorized representatives
- Maintain an up-to-date photographic record of the project’s progress
Abilities
- 7 years of experience in construction sites and civil engineering works
- xcellent understanding of reading plans and specifications
- Solid knowledge of construction methods, planning, organization, direction, and control of construction work
- Ability to act quickly and efficiently
- Motivated and mobilizing mindset
- A team-oriented attitude and an ability to anticipate events
